Women’s Web is Live!

April 26th, 2010

Women’s Web, a new web mag and community for Indian women (the venture I discussed in my last post), is now live! Please do go visit, read and register (in order to participate).

It’s early days yet, so there may be a few glitches - please excuse us for this - the tech team is working hard to address them. Among the articles we’ve put up for launch, I like many (I’m biased of course!), but two of my favourites are this piece on Bollywood’s working women and an interview with Anouradha Bakshi, the founder of Project Why, an organization doing some very good work with the underprivileged.

As I said earlier, I’m excited but nervous too. I do hope those who’ve enjoyed reading this blog will find the site of interest as well.

I registered…After clicking on the hyperlink sent to my email ID, I was told that my account had been activated and I could log in…When I logged in, I got a message stating “You are not authorized to view this page! :
You need to logout.!” I just thought I’d let you know…

    Cool site…and congrats!

    hi

i’m a regular reader of your blog and enjoy your posts. Just wanted to let you know that I too am facing the same prob as Sraboney.

Love your site. Can anyone contribute to articles or do you have specific writers for your site.

    Congrats for the new venture

@ batul - thanks so much for those good words. The tech team is looking into the regn glitch, and we’re hoping to have it sorted by today or tomorrow. As for writing - the features section involves research/ ground work and therefore it’s not so much ‘contributions’ as commissioning; however, I do plan to open the blogs to a wider group of people; and if you are a writer and would like to write for us, whether opinion pieces or features etc, drop me a note at apusworldATyahooDOTcoDOTin

    You need to logout. !”

IHM/Starry - thanks. The problem is still puzzling the tech team a bit, since it’s not showing up in the testing environment; hopefully it should be resolved over the next 48 hours.

    Hi,

I came across your blog and website through Indiquill. I loved it and registered. However I am not able to login. Seems like the login username and password boxes overlap the menus. Cool site!
