Almost four months after I decided to take a break, I am back to blogging, now at my own domain. It feels so good to be back! I missed the chance to talk about the things that affect me, but most of all, I missed the conversations with others, the feeling of being part of a community with shared interests. Part of the delay was caused by work and other commitments, part of it due to some technical troubles since this is the first time I have actually ever bought a domain. Desigirl stepped in to help me out, and she chose this wordpress theme and then helped adapt it for me. Much thanks, DG!
This blog is going to be an extension of what I was doing at Cubically Challenged, in the sense, that women’s concerns and practical feminist issues, especially in the Indian context, will continue to be a big part of it. I will also however be talking about some of the other things that interest me, such as books and travel. I hope readers don’t mind a bit of an eclectic mix.
Posts will be up regularly from now on; Until I get around to writing that first ‘actual’ post, here are some good blogs I’ve been catching up on in the meanwhile:
- The Burning Times, Debi’s very personal, intense blog dealing with patriarchy and oppression
- Meena Kandasamy’s bold take on caste, women and life in general
- Spicy Tasty, a lovely Indian Food blog; I especially love their South Indian recipes
Happy Reading and hope to see everyone here soon. And ofcourse, those of you who have me on your blogroll, please do update it to reflect my new URL - http://apusworld.com/blog, and of course add me to your RSS feed, if that’s the way you read!
